Nathan is an associate lawyer practicing in the areas of civil litigation and construction law out of both Barrie and Collingwood. Born and raised in Collingwood, Nathan summered and completed his Articles with Barriston prior to being called to the Bar in June 2023. Nathan has been involved in and conducted various trials, adjudications, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution processes, as well as having appeared on behalf of his clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Nathan completed the Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law – National edition in 2024.
Prior to law school, Nathan obtained an Honours Bachelor of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University with a minor in history. Nathan was heavily involved at Wilfrid Laurier, performing with the Wilfrid Laurier University Symphony Orchestra, representing the university as a Campus Ambassador both on campus and across Ontario, and as a member of the Student’s Union.
Nathan graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 2022 with a Juris Doctor. While at Windsor Law, Nathan was involved in various community outreach initiatives, including with the Windsor Crown Attorney’s Office through Pro Bono Students Canada. In his final year of law school, Nathan was a teaching and research assistant, focusing on tort law and general civil litigation.
In his spare time, Nathan enjoys remaining active in the outdoors by running and snowboarding, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Jacklyn practices in the area of civil/commercial litigation with a particular focus on construction law. Jacklyn has experience obtaining favourable outcomes for her clients through negotiation, litigation, mediation, arbitration and adjudication. Jacklyn summered with Barriston throughout her law degree, and completed her Articles with the firm before being called to the Bar in June of 2020.
Jacklyn graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019, having earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Toronto in 2016 in Environmental Studies, with minors in French and Spanish. In 2022 Jacklyn completed the Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law – National Edition. Jacklyn is currently enrolled in the Professional LLM in Construction Law program with Osgoode.
Jacklyn has always called Barrie home, and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Barrie and the Simcoe County Law Association’s Library Committee. In her spare time Jacklyn likes to read, watch biopics of artists from the ‘70s, travel, and unwind with family and friends.
Joshua completed his articles at a local law firm in Barrie and worked there as an associate upon his call to the Ontario Bar. Joshua practices in the areas of general civil litigation and employment law. Born and raised in Barrie, Joshua graduated with honours from the J.D. program at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. Joshua previously obtained a Bachelor Arts (Honours) from York University where he majored in Law and Society.
Prior to practicing law, Joshua worked in various capacities for the Federal Government including roles as a Special Assistant to the Member of Parliament for Barrie, a Legislative Assistant to a Senator, and as a Special Assistant to the Minister of National Defence.
During law school, Joshua was a student to the Regional Senior Justice for the Ontario Provincial Court in Ottawa where he was responsible for assisting the Court with research on complicated legal issues. Joshua also continued in the public service by taking on a role as the Special Assistant to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice in addition to his legal studies.
Joshua has appeared at both the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as well as the Ontario Court of Appeal on a wide range of complex legal matters.
Josh has received several awards, including recognition by Best Lawyers Canada in 2025 as “One to Watch”, for his work in employment law.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and their dog, Tonka. Josh has also taken on leadership roles with various community organizations across Barrie, including serving most recently as the Vice-Chair of the MacLaren Art Centre and on the Board of Directors of the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Adrianna Warmelink is an associate lawyer practicing in family law and estate litigation. Adrianna assists individuals through some of the most sensitive and challenging periods in their lives with compassion and a deep understanding of the emotional and financial stakes involved. Prior to joining the firm in March of 2024, Adrianna worked at a boutique family law firm in Barrie after being called to the Bar in June of 2023.
Adrianna graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, Common Law program in 2022, having earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario in 2019 with a specialization in political science and a minor in sociology.
Adrianna is an active member of the Barrie community, and was born in raised in the surrounding area. She is the currently serving as a Board member on multiple organizations in the Community including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Barrie and District, Barrie Families United, and the Prevention of Seniors’ Abuse Network (“PSAN”).
In her spare time, Adrianna enjoys being outdoors and active. She is always willing to participate in a new sport, and she has a special love for soccer and volleyball. When she is not participating in one of these activities, she can be found with her Australian Shepherd Apollo and Bengal cat Artemis.
