Wyatt Shipley is an Associate lawyer practicing in the areas of corporate law, real estate law, and wills and estates. He first joined Barriston as a summer student in 2022 and returned to complete his articling term with the firm in 2025. Wyatt was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026.
Wyatt takes a practical, client-focused approach to his work and enjoys helping clients navigate complex legal issues to achieve their goals.
Wyatt completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University before earning his law degree from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. During law school, he served as President of the University of Sussex lacrosse team. He was also a member of the Canadian Student Law Society. Wyatt grew up in Barrie, attending Terry Fox Elementary School and Eastview Secondary School.
Outside of his practice, Wyatt is an active member of the Barrie community. He spends much of his free time playing hockey, golf, and slo-pitch, and enjoys getting involved in local community initiatives.
