Samantha Hicks

Paralegal (Civil Litigation)

Samantha obtained a Law Clerk Diploma from Canadore College in 2006. Subsequently, she attended Humber College wherein she graduated with Honours and received a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Paralegal Studies.

Having worked as a summer student in the Civil Litigation Department at Burgar Rowe for two consecutive years, Samantha gained invaluable hands on work experience which she continues to utilize in her new position as Paralegal.

As a Licensed Paralegal, holding a class P1 Paralegal Designation, Samantha’s practice includes litigating matters in the Small Claims Court and attending Hearings before tribunals (e.g. the Landlord and Tenant Board).

Samantha continues her studies through various courses on Debt Collection and Small Claims Court Procedures.

Goaded by her colleagues, Samantha plans to take up golf but makes no promises that she won’t resort back to driving the cart as oppose to the ball.

On a personal note, Samantha enjoys the great outdoors and steals away whenever possible to her family home in Muskoka where she swims, canoes and/or lounges in the sun by the water with a good book.
