George Corn
George Corn has more than 35 years experience in the areas of personal and corporate financial and tax planning. Specifically, his practice concentrates on tax matters relating to corporate and personal tax and estate planning as well as corporate/commercial transactions involving reorganizations, acquisitions, financing and the implementation of tax related matters and has been extensively involved in reorganizations involving share and asset acquisitions in small and medium size businesses; estate planning and preparation of wills and trusts; and ongoing negotiations with the Canada Revenue Agency involving disputes with individual and corporate taxpayers.
Called to the Bar of Ontario in 1973, George received his law degree from York University and an Honours B.A. in Economics from Queen's University. He is currently a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian Bar Association and the Tax Section of the Ontario Bar Association, is a contributing editor to Butterworths Canadian Tax Law, for which he provides comments on judicial and statutory developments relating to Canadian income tax and was also a section instructor in the Taxation Section of the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admission Course.
George enjoys spending his free time engaged in sporting activities mainly hockey and golf and puttering around at the "cottage" now home in Muskoka.
