Ian Rowe

Ian is counsel to the firm and practices exclusively in the area of Municipal Law with a focus on appearing before the Ontario Municipal Board on Land Use Planning matters.

Ian Rowe graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1976 and was called to the bar in 1978. His practice concentrates on municipal and administrative law. Ian acts for a number of municipalities, as well as private sector clients such as developers, rate payers groups and aggregate producers. Ian has appeared before a number of administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Municipal Board, the Assessment Review Board, various Committees of Adjustment, the Ontario Drainage Tribunal, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Social Assistance Review Board and the Ontario Mental Health Act Regional Review Board. He has conducted trials and appeared at all levels of court in Ontario.

Ian has lectured at a number of continuing legal education seminars on behalf of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Association of Committees of Adjustment of Ontario, Canadian Institute, Insight, International Association of Assessment Officers, the Municipal Law Enforcement Officers Association and other organizations as well as making presentations to a variety of community organizations.
